Hi, everyone.
Nice to see we are doing steady and VERY SOLID progress.
As our traffic increases, so does the editors who do see the need for this site and what it offers to the community.
We are organizing things a little bit too.
Thanks everyone for contributing.

What's up people.
Very quick, we got a slight change in the policies regarding the Write your own article project.
Very simple. To avoid hoaxes, which we do not allow into our database, we will require a link to a website where you can show that what you are talking about is real.
This pretty much means we need a REFERENCE, but it's just ONE reference. Easy.
Why we are doing this? well, some artists are coming here and writing pages that do not even include a link to a page where people can see or hear or even know more about their work, so in the end it's pretty meaningless. We need something to follow up on or otherwise get deleted.
This applies to everything else. Include a source, link, site etc. or otherwise get deleted.

Hi everybody.
I would like to invite our friend who keeps playing with his IP address generator to actually contribute to our database instead of destroying it.
You are just wasting your time and ours. We can keep banning every single address you use and you can keep generating them and deleting things here as long as you want, but in the end is as if you never did anything at all 'cause we will keep erasing your tracks, unless you actually want to write an article which we will happily allow it to stay in the database.
Quick reminder for all our visitors, we ban you first time you vandalize, no exceptions. Infinite.

Yeah, I want to add something to this as well.
Somewhat unrelated, but here's my two cents for today.
You've noticed the advertisement banner on the top of the site recently, well we got nothing to do with it.
The people from ScribbleWiki ( our hosting service ) put that there to pay for the server since AntiWikipedia is a non-profit project.
Google Ads and other ads put by our service provider are what pays for this service.
Just keep in mind NO ONE HERE IS MAKING ANY KIND OF PROFIT.

Hi guys.
Our traffic keeps flowing and increasing and more people are learning about our purpose and we feel grateful about this.
Let me remind you that our doors are open for editors who wish to be administrators. Contact either me or Angelika about it.

Hi AW.
We've grown in the right direction as we've seen this month how we are finally getting some support from experienced WP editors bringing in their rejected articles and finally having a voice. Please do and bring in some more and add templates and all that. This is the place where you will be able to bend the rules, so please take advantage of that.

Hi guys.
Just wanted to clarify to people that this site does get a weekly clean up and most of the times a daily clean up. Do not bring here nonsense articles or articles that you start writing and already have a well developed presence in Wikipedia 'cause we only want articles that are not in Wikipedia.
An example of this is someone wrote a tiny article about the internet slang "LOL". Ok, look that up in Wikipedia, its a big page. Why would you want to write it here? Nonsense.
If you do wish to write something that has already a presence in Wikipedia, you must cite a very valid reason, otherwise it will be deleted.
Besides this, I want to remind everyone that we have a one-strike you're out rule here. You vandalize once, you are done. Lots of bans take place here on a regular basis it's nuts.
I want to also want say that we feel grateful to have Mr. Billy Hathorn as an editor since he is someone who understands the value of what this site's goal is all about and he is entirely on our side about this. Thank you Billy for your efforts.

Hello everyone, lots of good stuff happening. AntiWikipedia founder Neotheognosis has republished the AW 1.0 database and we now have it for our use. We will dig in there and put some articles up into the AW 3.0 database. Also, there was a new category put this last week called "portal", which is a connection to our categories, which aren't that many because we want to keep it as simple as possible. Most of the categories are just linked to flags anyway. Which brings us to the third piece of news. We will add a new flag which is the "KEEP" flag. This will be used when a user has found out that Wikipedia has decided to keep the article that was republished here, which will lead to deletion from AntiWikipedia. We do not keep articles which are in Wikipedia. Ok guys, i'm gonna get back to work. TTYL.Ginger 20:17, 13 February 2008 (CST)

Heyya kids, Ginger here. I'm exited to see some new editors come along and drop some important articles around. Nice.
Yeah, I haven't been adding articles myself much of lately but I will get back in action soon. I've been helping Angelika with other projects we got and they've been taking more time than we expected, but no worries.
Luv you all.Ginger 08:18, 6 February 2008 (CST)

Hi guys, hope you had nice holidays. I kinda didn't but it's all good.
Most of my time i've spent patrolling the site, I will get back to the infobox project very soon though and see if we can fix a couple of things. Take care. Ginger 16:31, 18 January 2008 (CST)

Yes, hi guys. Not sure if some of you noticed the title of the page has changed from "AntiWIkipedia - The missing pieces" to "AntiWikipedia - The missing encyclopedia". Why? 'cause the search engines gave out results with the "missing pieces" title and people were confused about what we were. Letting them know we are an actual encyclopedia of missing articles is what we want to get across so yeah, we are now changing the slogan as well very soon. Angelika 01:17, 15 December 2007 (CST)

Heyya people. At this point several infoboxes are still malfunctioning and even though we've put TONS and TONS of hours trying to figure out what the problem is, we don't seem to get the templates right to make them work. So we asked for help to a couple of Wikipedia editors to see if they can come in here and tell us what we are doing wrong. Hope they can straighten this situation out.Ginger 10:50, 13 December 2007 (CST)

Yes, hi guys. We got a nice and updated FAQ page which will clear out a lot of inquiries for new users.
A lot shorter and more to the point than previous FAQ pages we had in other AW versions.

Heya guys, I'm making process with the infoboxes being imported from Wikipedia. Also we got a new flag ( template ) for people to use, which is a flag to nominate an article for deletion. There is no vote for deletion here like in Wikipedia, here the administrators review the nomination and then we delete it or we leave it. That's about it.
- This is the new flag by the way:
And you put it at the top of an article by simply typing {{Delete}}, that's it.

Sweet!!, Hi ya'll!!!, Ginger here. First news post I make to tell you that we have a working infobox system for the music artists. Yes, only music artists so far but we will make the other ones as they are needed. Ginger 15:34, 20 November 2007 (CST)

Yes, Hi people. Lots of effort going into importing some Wikipedia Templates, including a fully functional Reference List ( which has been an AntiWikipedia MUST from its early days and we have never gotten around it ).
Well, let me be the first one to say that we do have now a working Reference List and we will be working the bugs around it on the next several days.
Also, we want to welcome our newest AW system operator to the staff. We wish AW ADMIN Ginger all the luck in the world into helping us built this site and creating a more helpful and bigger AW.
Thanks everyone for helping out. Happy Holidays!!!! Angelika 08:18, 20 November 2007 (CST)

Hello everyone, lots of progress being made here at AW 3.0.
First and foremost, a couple of days a go AW 2.0 was put to rest. It was taken offline since now AW 3.0 is fully functional and ready to receive all the traffic from here on. Our old database was not erased though, so if you want any specific article brought in here let me know by contacting my user talk page.
This third installment of AntiWikipedia looks very bright and it looks long lasting. Just letting you guys know since our second was very short lived and it might've been somewhat of a disappointment to a lot of people. But that's all over, this is the one that will take it all in. Hi everyone, some new changes will take effect soon which will target the end of some Antiwikipedia projects we've given up on, such as the Point Of View project, which gives people a poor excuse to vandalize. All this is due to the recent vandalization wave which has made us take greater extent of our banning policy regarding nonsense. Angelika 23:44, 11 November 2007 (CST)
11/10/07
Hi everyone, sorry we haven't been doing regular maintenance as of these last months but we've been busy with other non antiwikipedia projects.

Just a reminder to people. AntiWikipedia is very strict regarding vandalism. There are no second chances here, one strike you're out. ( You're banned )
Also, please don't start articles that are already published in Wikipedia unless you write them from your own point of view. ( more about this to be explained in the POV article project ).

We are introducing a brand new project today.
The Gratuitous Rant Project. We want people to literally bitch about everything.
Why? 'cause it's fun and it's ( most of the times ) honest.
Look for it soon at our main page, which is under MAJOR CONSTRUCTION at this point.

Hi everyone.
Some new policies already taking effect here in AW 3.0, we will update full details later, here they are:
- Indiscriminate input of information encouragement has been dropped, this is now prohibited. ( for a more useful database )
- Mirroring has also been dropped, also prohibited. ( copyright issues )
We have now included a navigation link on the sidebar directly to our own AW Deletion log, to show people what we are throwing out ( somewhat of our own garbage ), so they get an idea of what we want here and what we don't. Also to show users why we got rid of it. We know they could've just found it themselves but it's easier to put it there 'cause it will be needed.
We will give full details why this is happening and why the new policy changes in a new article to be posted soon.
