A.K.A. the ANTIWIKIPEDIA ARTICLE RECYCLING PROJECT
The AntiWikipedia Article Recycling Project was created to enforce one of the main AntiWikipedia goals, which is to contain all knowledge not available in the Wikipedia.
It consists of the re-publishing of articles set for deletion from the Wikipedia Deletion Log.
Which articles are "worthy" of being republished?
We want to contain articles which will NOT be in wikipedia's database, so follow this requirements:
- Pick an article that everyone has voted for it's deletion.
- Make sure it has more than 5 votes, the more the better specially if they all agree it should be deleted. ( More than 5 votes guarantees that this article is of interest, ..... kinda )
- Look at the article's content, make sure it has substantial content. ( Substantal in the sense that it has more than 5 sentences , couple of paragraphs should do it ).
How to "Recycle"
Easy. Once you've made up your mind into which article you want to bring here from the Wikipedia Deletion Log do this:
- IN ANTIWIKIPEDIA: enter the title of the article into AntiWikipedia as if you were gonna write it yourself ( start an article from the search bar ), once you see the "editing ( article name )" page then proceed to step #2
- IN WIKIPEDIA click on the "edit this page" tab of the article you want to bring here, which will show you the source code for the article, Copy it all and then paste it into the "editing ( article name )" page in ANTIWIKIPEDIA.
- SAVE ARTICLE in ANTIWIKIPEDIA. you're done.
Red links everywhere!!!....
Yeah, your article most of the times will be full of red links since they are looking at unwritten AntiWikipedia pages. You got two choices. Relink them back to the Wikipedia articles ( not encouraged, waste of time ), or not care about it. If someone writes the red articles, we will most likely delete them since they already have a home in wikipedia, so we don't want them here... unless you write it as a POV format ( See POV Article Project ).
You could actually get rid of the REDS by deleting the brackets on the sides of the words so you have text all in black, but in the end, who cares really.
Images not showing
You must upload the images your article has into AntiWikipedia. This only can be done AntiWikipedia members. Not a big deal, create an account by clicking in the link on the top right corner. Be sure to name the pictures you upload with the exact same name they had in Wikipedia.
Best way to make sure your images show up where they are supposed to is to click on the red image link your article has instead of the picture that is supposed to appear. That way you only deal with uploading the picture itself instead of finding out the correct name.
Article value
The AntiWikipedia administrators will review the content brought into the database and they will decide if it should stay or if it should be deleted. ( most of the times the articles are kept, unless you bring something completely useless in here ).
